"I’ve seen how art bridges cultures and breaks barriers. Around tables in distant lands and local communities, I’ve witnessed art unify people, spark joy, and offer healing."

Artist Statement

My art is rooted in the pursuit of mystery, beauty, and the unseen realities that shape our lives. I am drawn to those sacred spaces—both physical and spiritual—where we encounter something greater than ourselves. These are places of transcendence, where what is hidden is suddenly revealed, and we are changed by it.

Painting is more than expression for me; it’s discovery. Often, I begin with a sense, a presence, and slowly, through layers of oil, the image unfolds. I am led by what emerges—something beyond my own understanding. People have shared how these paintings speak to them in deeply personal ways, bringing insight, healing, even dreams. These moments affirm that the work has a life beyond me.

Through my travels—from Uganda to Iraq to Boone, North Carolina—I’ve seen how art bridges cultures and breaks barriers. Around tables in distant lands and local communities, I’ve witnessed art unify people, spark joy, and offer healing. It invites us to lay down our differences and explore our shared humanity through creativity. Everyone has a part.

I believe in the power of art to connect, to heal, and to open hearts. Whether painting or facilitating creative spaces, my greatest joy is encouraging others to discover their own voice and connect with a transcendent reality through art.
